Reservations for the 2024 Ozu Ukai

We’re excited to announce that reservations are now open for the Ozu Ukai, a unique cormorant fishing experience, taking place from June 1 to September 20, 2024.

Ozu Ukai is one of Japan’s three major cormorant fishing events, offering a rare opportunity to witness this traditional practice up close. As you cruise down the river, you'll see cormorants skillfully catching fish by the light of bonfires, in a method known as "awase ukai."
