Every Sunday from April ~ October (closed in August), a special tea experience will be held at "Garyu Sanso (villa)", which is an important cultural property of Ozu.
Garyu Sanso (villa) is a villa built by Torajiro Kawachi, who made a fortune in the Wax production trade, over a period of more than 10 years from around the 30th century of the Meiji era, and you can enjoy the architectural beauty of sukiya buildings and beautiful Japan gardens.
It has been designated as an Important Cultural Property by the national government, and in 2011 it received one star in the Michelin Green Guide Japan.
Among the Garyu Sanso (villa), the Furo-an, which is particularly tasteful, is a sukiya structure built on a cliff overlooking the Uryubuchi, and the hermitage itself is made to resemble a ship, and the ceiling is shaped like the bottom of a ship with a single piece of bamboo netting.
Please enjoy such a special time when you can take a break at Garyu Sanso (villa) Furo-an.
