Roman 8 Bridges

Eight covered bridges, built from Edo/Meiji?? through Heisei eras

Miyuki Bridge, Mishima Bridge, Toyotoshi Bridge, Obie Bridge, Ryushin Bridge, FureaiBridge,Ryuo Bridge, Akitaki Bridge,This set of eight covered bridges are collectively named "Roman Hachi Bridges". Connecting nature with the lives of people in each era, they have been instrumental to locals and provide a heartwarming feeling when explored. Covered bridges are rare in Japan and they play an important social role within the community (reunion places). Fortunately, Kawabe area has been able to preserved or reconstruct eight of them.
