- former URAOKA residence is a historic compound, facing Ozu Castle. All 4 abodes were reborn as guest rooms or a restaurant of the new hotel. They were renamed after Sadayasu Kato, the first Ozu domain lord of the Kato clan (from 1617) .

- These are the former living quarters of Mr. Murakami, a local wealthy wax merchant. The main residence is said to date from Meiji period (perhaps earlier), and occupies a vast site of over 3000 square metres. Each guest room at 'NIPPONIA HOTEL Ozu castle-town' is equipped with a cypress bath, and you will be able to soothe the fatigue of your travels in a carefully designed lounge.
