The cherry blossoms at Ozu Castle, a beautifully restored wooden keep, reach their peak bloom between late March and late April. Around 200 Somei Yoshino cherry blossom trees bloom within the castle grounds, attracting many visitors each year. From late March, the Ozu Tourism Cherry Blossom Festival is held, featuring a market, café, and spring boat cruises along the Hiji River.
Some trees are beginning to bloom, but the overall peak is yet to come.

From early March, the riverbank at Goro is transformed into a sea of yellow, blanketing the area like a golden carpet. Just a short walk downhill, near the well-known "Goro Red Bridge," another vibrant nanohana field adds to the breathtaking scenery, making this one of Ozu’s most iconic springtime spots.

Mt. Tomisu (320m), located in the center of the Ozu Basin, gets its name from its resemblance to Japan’s famous Mt. Fuji. Every year, from late April to May, approximately 63,000 azalea bushes cover the mountain in vibrant pink, making it appear as if it is wearing a floral cap.
