Located on Mt. Kagura in the eastern part of Ozu Castle, this venerable shrine has been revered by generations of Ozu clans. It was built as the general guard of this area when Ozu Castle Castle was built in 1331, and has been watching over the area from the Kamakura period to the present. If you climb the long stone steps, you can see the Ozu Castle and the quaint castle-town, and there is a stone statue of the god Ebisu, a shrine deity, standing in the temple grounds. Every year from January 9 to 11, the only "10-day Ebisu Festival" in Ehime Prefecture is held, and many worshippers visit.
