Garyu Sanso (villa) is a masterpiece of sukiya architecture commissioned by Torajiro Kawachi, a local trader. It took 10 years to plan the construction, in which Kyoto craftsmen lent an important hand. Garyu Sanso (villa) which consists of the main building Garyu-in and the tea rooms Furo-an and Chisi-an, was designated as a national important cultural property in 2016. A compound that embodies Ozu's glorious history.
