There are beautiful buildings in many places, such as the Ozu Castle, which has been completely restored with wood, the Garyu Sanso (villa), which is a famous building made of odd houses, the Bansenso, which has international features, the Nyoho Temple, which has a Buddhist hall that is a nationally designated important cultural property, the Ozu Akarengakan, which was built as the head office of a Ozu commercial bank, and the beautiful Sukuna Hikona Shrine, which is built on a suspension.

In Ozu City, in order to protect the townscape of Castle Town, the government and private businesses cooperate to carry out urban & community development that utilizes historical resources such as old houses.
The old houses in Castle Town are lined with scattered hotel" NIPPONIA HOTEL Ozu Castle Town", cafes that make use of local ingredients, and shops selling specialty products such as Tobe ware.
