About Ozu

Ozu, located on western Shikoku and surrounded by mountains, revolves around the Ozu basin and faces the Seto Inland Sea on its north edge.
The clear Hiji River, tracing an elbow-like curve during its overall course, circulates across the city, bringing in many natural blessings. These enhanced, undoutedly, local culture and economy. A prosperous castle-town emerged around Ozu Castle. During Edo period it developed into a lively settlement, expanding along the banks of Hiji River.

Access to Ozu
Ozu, is located in the Nanyo region of southern Ehime Prefecture.
The clear stream of the Hiji River flows gracefully in the city center, where a picturesque castle-town still populates its banks.
Centered around the carefully restored Ozu Castle, the town traces its history more than 400 years ago, back to the Senkoku period. 
From the riverside area in the mountains to the Nagahama area facing the Seto Inland Sea,
Diverse cultures take root. Japan also famous for "Ozu Ukai", which is counted as one of the three major Cormorant fishing (ukai).
